WHAT IS BOLD WOMEN SUNDAY IS FEBRUARY 24TH

WHAT IS BOLD WOMEN SUNDAY IS FEBRUARY 24TH

It’s to honor and celebrate the bold women in our congregation and community.
“Be bold, take risks on account to the gospel, but believe more boldly in Jesus”, said Martin Luther.
And that’s what we celebrate through Bold Women’s Day. Mary Ann Hobbs will be the guest speaker for both services.

The WELCA banner was made by Diane Dye, daughter of Hattie Lever.

6/24/19 – 6/28/19 Lutheroad Camp/VBS

Dear parents, grandparents and friends of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,

The learning Committee is very excited about Lutheroad Camp coming to our church the week of June 24th to 28th. We would like to invite your children, grandchildren, and friends to join us for camp this summer. It will be a week of total fun!

Lutheroad Camp is a five-day program where many of the benefits of camp at Lutheridge+Lutherock come right to the local church. The program includes fun, worship, games, Bible study, fellowship, crafts, sharing and prayer.

Camp is for children that have completed kindergarten -5th grades. (Each evening we will also have Vacation Bible School for all preschool age children, youth, and adults during this same week. Look for these details in the months ahead.)
Camp will start at 1:00 each day and end at 8:00 each evening. (Friday, June 28th camp will end at 5:00) We will serve a snack each afternoon and dinner will be served at 5:30 each evening.

We have a limited number of spots available and they will be filled on a first come basis. Please remember that if you register a child for camp that the church is paying for a wonderful Christian experience for that child. It would be very disappointing for us if a camper canceled at the last minute and we were not able to fill that spot. We also discourage signing children up that can not commit to all 5 days. This camp is modeled after a sleep away summer camp that promotes Christian bonds that are formed throughout the week between the counselors and campers. So…. make sure your calendars are marked and Lutheroad is part of your child’s summer plans.

Click on the link below for a registration form. Please return this form by March 5th to the church office. After this date day camp will be open to the community to fill any available spots. If you have any questions please feel free to call Kate Roehrs, 964-9763 or e-mail her at mkroehrs@gmail.com.

We are looking forward to an exciting week of camp!
In the Glory of God,
The Learning Committee

HTLC Mower and Other Lawn Equipment Maintenance

HTLC Mower and Other Lawn Equipment Maintenance

We want to thank Paul Rummage for maintaining our small power lawn equipment for the past twenty years. He has decided to step down from these duties. Paul serviced the equipment annually thereby allowing us to have equipment that was reliable and easy to start. This also reduced the expense to the cost of parts since he provided the labor. It was a pleasure to see him use his talents for the benefit of the congregation.

We are now looking for someone who likes to maintain small engines to take over the servicing. If you enjoy working on small engines contact Pastor Fischer or Ernie Thorns

Walking with Jesus

Walking With Jesus
The New Year has come and gone but how about your resolutions? Did they include improving health and moving more? Do you need help sticking with these plans? Beginning Saturday, March 9th and running through April 13th, (excluding March 31″,) we will meet each week at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall to review the Bible study and to learn about “whole person health”. Then we will walk together as a group around the neighborhoods of the church. We will also have a group of “Parking Lot Pedestrians” who may want to join us but have limited mobility. This group will also learn simple chair and balance exercises. On March 31st, each participant is encouraged to take their increased movement on the road to work on an OIAM project of their choice. As we transition into the Lenten Season, we are encouraged to pray and study God’s Word. As we journey towards Good Friday and the cross, what a wonderful time to re-trace the actual footsteps of Jesus as he traveled with his ministry as we work to grow stronger in mind, body, and spirit. If you would like to join us, sign up on the sheet in the narthex. Please contact Amy Goodson, FCN, if you have any questions.
