5/24/26 Weekly Congregational Update
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:
- We now have several lighted magnifying tablets available to be used during worship for those who are challenged by small print. Please see an usher on Sunday mornings to borrow one.
- This coming Sunday will be Pentecost Sunday, which is considered to be the birthday of the church. You are invited to wear the color red for this occasion.
- This being a major festival of the Church, we will be celebrating Holy Communion.
- I will be preaching on the First Reading from Acts 2:1-21.
- With this coming Monday being Memorial Day, our final hymn will be, God Bless Our Native Land.
- We celebrate with Krista (Spoores) and Sean Jensen, upon the birth of their son, Wesson.
- We keep the following in our thoughts and prayers:
- Emery and Janet Sanstrum, upon the death of his son, Jayson.
- Kim Hill, upon the death of her mother, Marjorie Kuhn.
- Georgia Lou Huff, following surgery and who is now at the AnMed Rehabilitation Hospital (Room 207).
- Please mark your calendars:
- On Sunday, May 31, being a 5th Sunday, we will gather in One Combined Worship at 10:00 a.m. A Potluck Meal will follow in Fellowship Hall. Please bring a dish (or two) to share. The meat will be provided by the congregation. There will be no Sunday School classes this day.
- Following the meal that day will be a Preventing Abuse Training workshop in Fellowship Hall for all those who serve as a Sunday School teacher, provide care in the nursery, youth leader, or work in any way with our children, youth, or vulnerable adults in the congregation.
- On Sunday, June 14, we will gather to give thanks for the life of Ernie Thoms and to dedicate the Fellowship Hall Mechanical Room in his memory.
In Christ,
Pastor Fischer
