11/8/26 Weekly Congregational Update
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:
- The Angel Tree has been put up in the narthex. It is covered with 70 tags of children’s items given to us by AIM, for families in our area. You may either pick up a tag or two and purchase the items, or you may write a check to “Holy Trinity” with “Angel Tree” in the memo line and someone from WELCA will do the shopping for you. All gifts are to be left unwrapped and returned to the Office Parlor (in front of the fireplace).
- Sunday I will be preaching on the gospel reading from Matthew 25:1-13. In preparation for our message, please think about the following questions:
- What is the worst decision you have made in your life?
- What do you consider to be the best decision of your life?
- What is the main point of this gospel text?
- In the bulletin Sunday will be another copy of the Time and Talent Sheet. If you have not yet returned your sheet, please take advantage of this opportunity and drop it into the offering plate (or mail it back to the church office). Extra copies are in the narthex. This is the time of the year we ask for your commitment to the Lord through being involved at Holy Trinity. Would you like to provide flowers on the altar next year? Would you like to serve on the Altar Guild? Please let us know now.
- Our Semi-Annual Congregational meeting will take place Sunday, beginning at 9:50 a.m. in Fellowship Hall as we elect 4 new council members and approve a budget for 2027. A Continental Breakfast will be provided.
- We will be recognizing all of our military veterans with us Sunday during the announcement time.
- Our final Family Fun Night for the year will take place on Wednesday of next week as we hear about Judas.
In Christ,
Pastor Fischer
