11/01/26 Weekly Congregational Update
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:
- The November issue of The Messenger was dropped off at the post office earlier today.
- I sent you a copy of the newsletter this afternoon via the internet. Please make sure and read the related pastor’s article.
- Sunday is All Saints Day, a time when we remember and give thanks to those loved ones and friends who are now with the Lord. We especially remember those who have died in the congregation since last year’s All Saints Sunday.
- I will be preaching on what makes someone a saint.
- Don’t forget to reset your clocks as Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday morning. I don’t know what I dislike the most – it is still dark at 7:30 in the morning (with the current time) or getting home for supper and it is already dark (once the time changes Sunday). Either way, the days are noticeably getting shorter.
- I encourage you to take advantage of your freedom to vote on Tuesday!
- A week from today, the Dining Divas group will gather for supper at El Manzanilla Mexican Restaurant in Anderson. You will need to contact Beth Cribbe with your RSVP’s to ensure adequate seating.
- Our Semi-Annual Congregational Meeting will take place on Sunday, November 8, beginning at 9:50 a.m. as we elect four members to serve on the church council and approve a Spending Plan for ministry for 2027. All bios are printed in your bulletins and the November newsletter, as well as the proposed budget submitted by the Support Committee and endorsed by the Church Council.
- We keep in our thoughts and prayers, Lee Moody and his family, upon the recent death of his mother, Miriam Moody.
In Christ,
Pastor Fischer
