03/03/24 Weekly Congregational Update

Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,

Here are this week’s updates:

  • The March edition of The Messenger was mailed out yesterday.  It has the complete worship schedule of the remaining Lenten services, as well as the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, and Easter services.

  • The Memorial Service for Rick Polsdorfer will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Sullivan-King.  The visitation will take place from 9:30-11:00 a.m. before the service.   The Luther’s Ladies Circle is handling the food arrangements for the family.

  • Sunday is the last day to drop off donated breakfast items for our Hope Missions of the Update project.  See the complete list of needed items in your bulletin or recent newsletter.  As you can see in the photo above, we have had an excellent response but we still have a little more room on the table for even more items.

  • Sunday I will be preaching on the subject of the Ten Commandments, based on our First Reading from Exodus 20:1-17.

  • Then on Wednesday evening, our next Lenten meal and worship service will take place.  The Youth will be providing their traditional soup and grilled cheese sandwiches at 6:00 p.m., followed at 7:00 p.m. as we gather to look at the “Daily Bread” from the Bible in worship.

  • There is still time to sign up for Amy Goodson’s Bread Baking Worshop which will take place on Saturday of next week, March 9.  To date, we have 8 who have indicated they would like to participate.  We have room for even more.

In Christ,

Pastor Fischer
