7/19/26 Weekly Congregational Update
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:
- Last Saturday, we had 29 volunteers show up to help assemble lunch bags as part of our Saturday Servants project. We will do it again this coming Saturday at 9:45 a.m. in Fellowship Hall as we feed those who are hungry in the Anderson area.
- Sunday, I will be preaching on the gospel reading of Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43, as we delve into the world of weeds and what they might have to do with the Day of Judgment.
- On Wednesday of next week, Amy Goodson has Stephanie Yelder, the Dementia Care Specialist from the South Caroline Department on Aging, coming to speak with our Lunch Bunch group. This is only the second meeting of this brand-new group. Come join us as we will be learning about dementia and the resources that are available. Lunch will be provided. We will meet in Fellowship Hall at 11:00 a.m.
- We keep in our prayers:
- Nick Korn – who will be undergoing surgery tomorrow
- Lynn Ziemba – who will be undergoing back surgery tomorrow
- We received the sad news yesterday, that Claude Williford has resigned as our sexton and groundskeeper. He has done this work faithfully for the last 56 years for our congregation! The Personnel Committee will be meeting Sunday. If you have a recommendation of someone to serve our congregation in this capacity, please send me their information before Sunday morning. If you know of someone who would fill both positions, let me know, OR if you know of someone/company you recommend that would fill one of the positions, please let me know.
In Christ,
Pastor Fischer
