7/12/26 Weekly Congregational Update

Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,

Here are this week’s updates to share with you about ministry possibilities:

• This coming Saturday, we will again gather in Fellowship Hall to make bagged lunches, assembly line style, for our Saturday Servants project to feed those hungry in the Anderson area.  We will begin at 9:45 a.m.

• The Crafty Ladies will gather in Fellowship Hall at 11:00 a.m., allowing those who desire, to participate in both events.

• Sunday, I will be preaching on the gospel text of the sower and seed recorded in Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23 as we talk about the waste in the world today.  In preparation for the sermon theme, please consider the following :
  • When things are wasted in life, are you annoyed or irritated?
  • If so, what areas of waste are on the top of your list?
  • Were you a member of the “Clean Plate Club” growing up?
  • How is stewardship and being frugal interconnected?
  • What would you imagine the Lord’s view would be on waste?

• Last week’s Family Fun Night, has been postponed to next Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.

• We have two members to thank for their many years of service to the Lord and we are now looking to fill their shoes:
  • We are grateful to Robert Allen, who for the last 5 years took are care of the maintenance on our small engine equipment – changing the oil and filters, and making necessary adjustments.  If you would enjoy serving the Lord by getting your hands greasy and working on such things, we would love to hear from you.  Please let me know.
  • We are grateful to Leslie Cox, who for the last 8 years has maintained the area near the back entrance of Fellowship Hall, planting and tending various plants that beautify the area between the two sidewalks.  If God has blessed you with a green thumb and you would like to share your talents of tending plants, please reach out to me.
