2/18/26 Weekly Congregational Update

Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,

Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:

  • I am happy to report to you that Jeanette Thoms has returned home, since my email to you last week.

  • NHC is currently rearranging the location of many of their residents.  Jan House is now in room 507B.

  • Nancy Korn is in the process of finishing up the worship schedule for 2026.  We could really use another adult as an Acolyte as well as one more Worship Assistant at the Early Service.  If you would be willing to serve the Lord in this way, please reach out to me.  Training will be provided.

  • On Sunday, January 25, we are planning to recognize Ernie Thoms for his 23 years of faithful service as our Property Committee Chair. This will take place between the two worship services at 10:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. We are asking you to bring a card of thanks or a note of gratitude to the celebration.  A basket will be present to receive these, allowing Ernie to take them home and to enjoy them at his leisure, possibly over and over again! Refreshments will be served.

  • Our Annual Community Shove Tuesday Pancake Supper will take place on February 17 at Blvd. Baptist Church.  Tickets will be available beginning Sunday, January 25.

  • Sunday, I will be preaching on the gospel text, John 1:29-42 as we explore what it means for John the Baptist to refer to Jesus as the “Lamb of God.”

  • The final Tabulator Training session will be offered this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the Office Conference Room.

  • The Statements of Contribution for 2025 will be ready to be picked up Sunday in the room off the narthex, for your tax records.

  • The weather for Sunday is kind of iffy right now.  I remind you that in the event of inclement weather, the Congregational President and I will confer with each other and if we make the decision to cancel worship, the church council Call Tree will be activated and someone from the church council will call you.

In Christ,

Pastor Fischer
