8/3/25 Weekly Congregational update

Dear Members and Friends of the Congregation,

Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:

  • Congratulations go out to Rachel and Christopher Caldwell on the birth of John Whitmire “Whit” Caldwell early this morning!  We also congratulate the other family members: sisters – Abi and Lydia, grandparents – Chris and Anna Caldwell, uncle – Connor Caldwell, great uncle and aunt – Andy and Sharon Christmas, and cousin, Bill Christmas.

  • Sunday is the final day to drop off frozen casseroles as part of our outreach ministry for Calvary Home for Children.

  • Sunday, I will be preaching on the gospel reading, Luke 12:13-21, as we take a deeper look at “Mr. Bigger Barns.”

  • A week from today, the Dining Divas will meet at Brothers Italian Cuisine for their monthly gathering.  You will need to reserve your spot with Beth Cribbe if you are planning to attend.

  • Coming in August and September, Jane Cahaly will be leading a 6-week course on “How To Give Your Faith Away.” More information to come later.
