9/6/26 Weekly Congregational Update
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:
- If you were at worship this past week, then no doubt, you noticed that something was missing from our worship service – the loud sound on air rushing to the intake vent of our A/C unit. We are very grateful for Mike Metz overseeing the recent vent work underneath the sanctuary. Now when you view the recorded worship service, you can actually hear the sermon and music.
- Thank you so much for helping make our recognition of Claude Williford such a success this past Sunday! Not only did we have a great worship attendance of 96, but most everybody came over to the celebration in Fellowship Hall with 80 in attendance. The food was so enjoyable that my family and I all said the same thing, “This is the best meal we have ever eaten on a 5th Sunday at Holy Trinity!” A big Thank You also goes out to the Fellowship Committee and the Mutual Ministry Committee for making this a wonderful time with Claude and his family.
- After taking a summer break using the WOV – the “Blue Hymnal”, on Sunday, we return to using the “Red Hymnal” – the ELW hymnal.
- I will be preaching on the gospel reading Sunday, Matthew 18:15-20, as we focus on the power of numbers in prayer.
- Our next Family Fun Night will be on Wednesday evening of next week, as we explore the disciple, Jude the Brave.
- Please mark your calendars for our Deutsches Fest, which will be Saturday, October 10, 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tickets will be available beginning September 13.
In Christ,
Pastor Fischer
