8/31/25 Weekly Congregational Updates
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:
- The September Messenger was mailed out to you earlier today. Make sure to look it over as it is larger than usual with so many congregational activities starting back up this time of the year. Make sure and look for the many red shirts inside.
- The church grounds always look great but they especially do right now with all the extra time and effort that Claude Calloway has put into pressure washing sidewalks, steps, vinyl fencing and our brick wall in the front of the church. Please thank him when you see him.
- This coming Sunday, with it being a 5th Sunday, we will have One Combined worship service at 10:00 a.m., (no Sunday school classes) followed by a Potluck meal in Fellowship Hall afterwards. The meat will be provided by the church. Please bring a dish to share. The Fellowship Committee will be in the kitchen getting things ready before the worship service. You may drop off your dish to them beginning at 9:30 a.m. Please remember that they will be glad to heat up your dish but we do not have the facilities for them to cook all the dishes.
- I know that this weekend is the Labor Day weekend and some of us may be traveling and out of town, but if not, come and worship and join us for a meal and fellowship!
- Sunday, I will be preaching on the Gospel text, Luke 14:1, 7-14. I encourage you to read over this parable several times this week in preparation for the sermon as we explore Christ’s purpose for us with this story.
In Christ,
Pastor Fischer
