6/7/26 Weekly congregational update
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are these week’s updates to pass along to you:
- You will notice that this Sunday’s bulletin, now includes the typed-up words to “This Is the Feast” and “Let the Vineyards Be Fruitful.” This means that all the words of the service are now included in the bulletin, except the hymns. Hopefully this is helpful for you.
- Sunday, I will be preaching on the gospel reading, Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26, as we explore the Lord’s concept of mercy.
- Again, our apologies for omitting the June birthdays and the June anniversaries in the latest edition of The Messenger. These names and dates are included in this Sunday’s bulletin.
- Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday as part of the State Wide Primary Election.
- On Sunday, June 14, we will be dedicating the Fellowship Hall Mechanical Room in memory of Ernie Thoms. This will take place between the two worship services at 10:00 a.m. (There will be no Sunday School classes that day.) Refreshments will be provided. Jeanette and other family members will be in attendance. You are invited to bring a card stating your favorite memory of Ernie. All cards will be given to the family to take home with them.
- With Father’s Day on June 21, you have the opportunity to make a donation to the Lutheran Men in Mission in honor of or in memory of your father. All names will be listed in the bulletin on Father’s Day. All money received will be given to the South Carolina Lutheran Men in Mission. The deadline to do this is Sunday, June 14.
- We keep in our prayers Dave Korn and his family, upon the death of his sister, Marilou Swenson, who died this afternoon.
In Christ,
Pastor Fischer
