5/3/26 Weekly Congregational Update

Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,

Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:

  • The May edition of The Messenger was dropped off at the post office on Monday. Many in the congregation began receiving their copy today.

  • Several umbrellas and a pair of dark glasses were left in the sanctuary the last few weeks, if you are missing one.

  • Congratulations are in order for Elizabeth and Keith Thompson on the birth of Hannah Elise Thompson, born on
Wednesday.  We celebrate with Brenda McGowan on being a first-time great grandmother, Ben and Bonnie Emanuel being first-time grandparents, as well as Benjamin and Lauren being an uncle and aunt, and Rebecca being a proud aunt.

  • Sunday is Senior Citizens Sunday for us.  Our hymns will be what I call, “oldies but goodies.”

  • I will be preaching on the gospel text of John 14:1-14 as we explore the very meaningful words of our Lord, “I go to prepare a place for you.”

  • We are running behind a little on getting the word out to you about our Mother’s Day offering.  With Mother’s Day being May 10, this coming Sunday is the deadline to give a donation to WELCA’s seminary project In Honor Of or In Memory Of your mother.  All names will be listed in the bulletin on May 10.

  • Dining Divas will gather to eat a week from today, at Public Well Café. If you are planning to attend, please let Beth Cribbe know in advance.

In Christ,

Pastor Fischer
