5/10/56 Weekly Congregational Update
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:
- Now that we are into t-shirt weather, if you are interested in purchasing one of our short sleeve red church t-shirts, please reach out to me. They are $10-$14 depending on the size and are 100% cotton. They read, “The church has left the building . . . to serve God’s people” on the front, and the back lists the name of our church and the Bible verse, “Use whatever gift you have received to serve others.” I Peter 4:10.
- Sunday, being Mother’s Day, we will be recognizing all the mothers with us during the announcements.
- I will be preaching on the gospel text, John 14:15-21, as we take a deeper look at the “Advocate” and what that means to us today.
- We keep in our prayers Kati Smith upon the death of her sister, Trisha Taub, who died last Thursday evening.
- We also keep in our prayers Bill Dial and his family upon the death of his grandmother, Ida “Jackie” Claire Smith, who died this past Tuesday at the age of 100 years old.
- Our next Family Fun Night will take place on Wednesday evening, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.
- On Sunday, May 17, you are invited to join us between the two worship services (10:00-10:45 a.m.) outside, as we will be dedicating our Prayer Garden after extensive replacements of shrubs and flowers, as well as dedicating our new gazebo. After the dedication service you will have the opportunity to walk through the garden and enjoy light refreshments.
In Christ,
Pastor Fischer
