4/5/26 Weekly Congregational Update

Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,

Greetings during this Holy Week.  Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:

  • In case you are wondering how many were in worship this past Sunday for Palm Sunday, we had 127!

  • We welcomed to the altar on Maundy Thursday, Riley Bernhardt and Owen Oates, as they received their first Holy Communion, after completing classes with me.

  • We are very grateful for Amy Goodson and Nancy Korn for their diligence in setting out the Easter lilies in the church for Easter Sunday.  While we are at it, each year these two also place all the poinsettias in the church for Christmas Eve.  Thanks Amy and Nancy!

  • As you make your Easter worship plans with your family on Easter Sunday, our Sunrise Worship Service will take place at 7:00 a.m., followed by a meal that will be provided in Fellowship Hall. Our second worship service will take place at 11:00 a.m.  I am looking forward to celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord together!

  • Again, a wooden cross will be placed in front of the church on Easter Sunday to receive your cut flowers to decorate. This will be a great place to do a family portrait, after worship.

  • Our next Family Fun Night will take place on Wednesday of next week, as we explore the disciple – John.

  • Dining Divas will gather for a meal on Thursday of next week at The Boondocks, 6:00 p.m. If planning to attend, you will need to contact Beth Cribbe.

  • The Service Committee is sponsoring a Congregational Litter Pick Up Day on Saturday, April 11, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.  All supplies will be provided.  With this date fast approaching, please check the bulletin or newsletter for all the details.  There is a sign-up sheet in the room off the narthex.

  • We keep in our prayers:
    • Nancy Scalf – recovering from thyroid surgery
    • Lee Moody – who is in the hospital and awaiting heart surgery

In Christ,

Pastor Fischer
