Today is All Saints Sunday. We pause for a moment to give thanks to God for those saints of the church who have entered the Church Triumphant, especially those within the last year. We praise God for the memories of His children who have meant so much to His church and to His People.
They are:
Richard Lee Polsdorfer – February 7, 2024
Linda Buff Blackwelder – June 8, 2024
Charles William “Bill” Ebert – August 14, 2024
Warren Albert Lutz, Jr. – October 3, 2024
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,

FAMILY FUN NIGHT
We continue our monthly summer gatherings in Fellowship Hall for a time of Food, Fun &
Fellowship around a Biblical theme. Adults and Kids of all ages are invited to join us! There will be crafts, games, and song. The meal will be provided.
WHEN: Wednesday, November 13th 5:30 –7:00 p.m.
TOPIC: In All Things Give Thanks. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
TODAY, we remember Martin Luther, born in 1483, nine years before Columbus discovered America. He studied law at the age of 21; became a priest at 23 and a doctor of theology at 28; wrote and nailed the 95 thesis at age 33 and 34; was ex-communicated and became a fugitive at 38; translated the Bible into German at 40; and died from a stroke at the age of 63, an internationally admired leader. His teachings stressed justification by faith,
universal priesthood of believers; and supremacy of scripture which form the cornerstone of Protestantism
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates:
• We keep the following in our prayers:
• Dave and Sue Rasche – upon the death of their son, Eric.
• Don Simon – broken kneecap
• Jane Potter – breast cancer surgery
• Earlier this week, the concrete pad has been poured for our new Prayer Garden gazebo. In the coming weeks, the new plants will go into the surrounding garden area.
• Sunday is Reformation Sunday. You are invited to wear the color red for this festive occasion.
• Again, this Sunday, you are asked to return your Time/Talent/Pledge Cards as these gifts will be blessed as part of the worship service. Or, if you chose, you can mail them to the church office.
• AIM’s Trick-Or-Trick-So-Others-May-Eat food drive is going on right now in our congregation. Bags were distributed last week. You are asked to returned these bags Sunday, filled with items requested and they will be taken to AIM on Sunday afternoon. If it is more convenient, just let yourself into the church during the week and place your bag in the room off the narthex. Right now, we are having trouble with the electronic code on the front door of the church. A part has been ordered. In the meantime, you can use a church key, if you have one, or enter through the Ramp Door on the side of the church, using the electronic keypad.
If you, or someone you know, could benefit from a free aluminum ramp, that gives access into the house, please reach out to me. It is a 4 x5 platform, with rails, and roughly 20 feet long. It is in excellent condition.

Just Love God’s Children
Fall Foothills Conference Meeting
Saturday, November 2nd 2024
Immanuel Lutheran Church
5010 E. Creswell Avenue
Greenwood, SC 29646
The women of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Greenwood SC are excited to host the Fall
Conference for the Foothills region on Saturday, Nov. 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with
registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. A light lunch will be served.
Please plan to join us as we gather together to celebrate and act boldly on our faith in Jesus Christ. Being called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are called to rejoin our faith with deeds. As His disciples, we are called to serve and love all of God’s children in our community, our state, and the world; especially those that are with struggling food and housing insecurities.
Our guest speaker will be Mrs. Mary Ann Stroup, Coordinator of Immanuel’s Children.
This nonprofit organization’s mission is to work in conjunction with District 50 school
district to identify children struggling with food and/or housing insecurity. Once identified,
various local organizations come together to assist in providing food and housing needs to
these children in a dignified and confidential manner so that they can learn and grow in a
safe, secure and healthy environment.
If you are planning to attend, please contact Beth Fischer by Wednesday, October 23rd @ (864)
933-7446 or email: fischerfive@att.net
