11/3/24 Weekly Congregational Update

Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,

Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:

  • Don Simon is currently at National Health Care for physical rehabilitation, room 516-B.

  • The November issue of The Messenger was dropped off this morning at the post office.

  • This coming Sunday is All Saints Sunday, a time when we remember those who have died in the Christian faith.

  • I will be preaching on how, even in worship, we are surrounded by those who have gone on to be the Lord. Our scripture readings of hope for the day are:  Isaiah 25:6-9; Revelation 21:1-6a and John 11:32-44.

  • Don’t forget that the time, changes this coming Saturday.  Daylight Saving Time ends. Remember to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed, or you will be an hour early for worship on Sunday, which is not a bad thing.

  • You are encouraged to make every effort to vote in the upcoming national, state, and local elections on Tuesday of next week, or earlier.  Your Christian voice of faith needs to be heard.

  • Our next Semi-Annual meeting will be on Sunday, November 10, beginning at 9:50 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.  A continental breakfast will be provided by the Fellowship Committee. We will be electing 4 new council members and approving a budget for 2025. The information on the nominees is in the Sunday bulletins (and November newsletter) and the proposed budget is in the November newsletter.  If you have any financial questions, please reach out to our treasurer, Diane Richardson @ 864-430-0267.

In Christ,

Pastor Fischer
