11/20/22 Weekly Congregational Updates
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates:
1) At our Semi-Annual Congregational Meeting this past Sunday we approved the proposed Spending Plan for Ministry (Budget) for 2023 and elected the following to serve a 3-year term on Church Council – Richard Caruso, Beth Cribbe, Vicki Lybrand, Rev. Stephen Roehrs.
2) At our Lutheran Men in Mission supper meeting last night we had 23 men in attendance, including 5 of our most recent male new church members! We put together 100 NICE food bags for Meal on Wheels of Anderson.
3) This coming Sunday, I will be preaching on a Thanksgiving theme, based upon our Second Reading from Colossians 1:11-20.
4) Sunday, at the Late Service, we will be welcoming 3 new members into the Holy Trinity family.
5) We have moved our Annual Congregational Christmas Pageant a week later than what was previously published. It will take place on Sunday, December 18 at the Late Service.
6) The new Advent Devotionals are ready to be picked up in the narthex. Please limit yourselves one per household.
7) Speaking of Advent, the Learning Committee is sponsoring an Advent Craft Event for the Congregation on Sunday, November 27 at 3:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. This date is actually the beginning of the Advent season. What a good way to kick off the Advent season. Come join us!
8) Our own Virgil Hobbs will be performing in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas – The Musical, as Bing Crosby. Tickets are available on December 2, 3, 4 , 9, 10, 11 at the Elbert Theatre, in Elberton, GA. Call 706-283-1049 to make your reservations.
In Christ,
