11/09/25 Weekly Congregational Update

Dear Members and Friends of the Congregation,

 

Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:

  • Saturday, the Health Ministry Committee will be giving a “Fall, No Falls” event in Fellowship Hall beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Have you ever wondered how to lift someone up properly who has fallen?  Have you ever fallen yourself and have wondered what is the easiest strategy to straighten back up? If so, this workshop is for you.  If you have any questions, please contact Amy Goodson.

  • On Sunday we will be recognizing all of our military veterans with us in worship. Our final hymn will be “Eternal Father, Strong To Save” which is the traditional Naval hymn.

  • During the Sunday School hour, beginning at 9:50 a.m. sharp, our Semi-Annual Congregational Meeting will take place in Fellowship Hall.  We have two tasks before us: (1) From the 8 Church Council nominees, we will select 4 to serve a 3-year term.  (2) We will approve a budget for 2026.  We ask all of our council nominees to attend this meeting so that we can introduce them to you. A continental breakfast will be served by our Fellowship Committee.

  • Sunday evening, at 6:00 p.m., our final “How to Give Your Faith Away” workshop will take place in the Pairs and Spares Room.  This will be led by Jane Cahaly.

  • On Wednesday evening, our next Family Fun Night will take place at 5:30 p.m.  Supper will be provided.

  • We keep in our prayers, Beth Passow, who recently underwent knee replacement surgery.
