10/20/24 Weekly Congregational Updates

Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,

Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:

  • We keep in our prayers the following:
    • Pamela Michalski – who broke her ankle.
    • Virgil Hobbs – who broke his foot.
    • Dan Hunnicutt – who underwent shoulder replacement surgery on Wednesday.
    • Jean Vinson – who will be moved tomorrow (Friday) to the Garden House (Anderson).
    • St. Mark Lutheran Church, Leesville, FL – whose roof partially collapsed due to Hurricane Milton

  • Several of you have asked how you can contribute financially through Holy Trinity (or the ELCA) for the victims of recent hurricanes (via Lutheran Disaster Response). That information will be in your Sunday church bulletin (that I just emailed you.) Lutheran Disaster Response has an excellent track record, in fact, 100% given will go to those affected.

  • We will be blessing the Time and Talent Sheets and Pledges as part of the worship service this coming Sunday and on October 27.  Please bring yours with you the next time you are in worship (or mail back to the church office).

  • If you were not in attendance at worship last Sunday, please make sure to pick up your Stewardship “HTLC Bird Nest” refrigerator magnet from the narthex.

  • Sunday will be Breast Cancer Awareness Sunday.  You are encouraged to wear something pink in honor and in memory of all breast cancer survivors.

  • Sunday I will be preaching on the gospel text, Mark 10:35-45, as we explore what Jesus means to be great in the kingdom of God.

In Christ,

Pastor Fischer
