08/30/26 Weekly Congregational Update
Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,
Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:
- Don’t forget that with this coming Sunday being a 5th Sunday, we will have ONE-COMBINED WORSHIP at 10:00 a.m. (There will be no Sunday School classes.) As part of the worship, we will be blessing the latest bundle of quilts that our ladies of the congregation have made before the quilts are sent off overseas to those in need. After the service we will gather in Fellowship Hall to enjoy a Potluck Meal. The meat, beverages and dessert will be provided, just bring your appetite, smiles, and a side dish to share.
- Before worship, beginning at 9:30 a.m., you may drop off your dishes in the Fellowship Hall kitchen where a member of the Fellowship Committee will be on hand to keep them warm. Please remember that we do not have the facilities to cook food dishes.
- As part of our time together at the meal, we will be recognizing Claude Williford for his 56 years of faithful service to our congregation as our sexton. He and some of his family will be with us.
- Thank you for your generous hearts. In response to our request to give towards a financial gift for Claude, we will be presenting him a check for $2700.00 from the congregation! Again, thank you!
- I will be preaching on the gospel lesson, Matthew 16:21-28, as we hear the words of the Lord, to take up our cross and follow Him.
- This past Monday, Pat sent out a Statement of Giving via email.
- The September newsletter went out today.
- A week from today, the Dining Divas group will be gathering at The Boondocks to eat and socialize. If you are planning to attend, please let Beth Cribbe know.
