06/01/25 Weekly Congregational Update

Dear Members and Friends of Holy Trinity,

Here are this week’s updates to pass along to you:

  • This past Sunday, at the Early Service, we said our goodbyes to Michelle Nelson, who is moving to Florida this week to take care of her mother.  Michelle’s new address will be: 1639 Blackfoot Court, Leesburg FL  34748.

  • We continue to pray for Jan House who continues her stay at AnMed.

  • The June issue of The Messenger was dropped off at the post office this afternoon.

  • Sunday, I will be preaching on the gospel text, John 17:20-26, on the Farewell Discourse of Jesus to His disciples.  We will be taking a look at how our Lord calls us to unity in our faith, but not uniformity.

  • A week from today, June 5, the Dining Divas group will be eating at Logan’s Roadhouse.  Contact Beth Cribbe to make a reservation (864-617-6216).

  • With Father’s Day coming up on June 15, a special offering, sponsored by the Lutheran Men In Mission, is being received to support the South Carolina Lutheran Men in Mission. If you would like to give a donation In Memory Of or In Honor Of your father, please fill out the form in the bulletin or newsletter.  All names will be listed in the Father’s Day bulletin.  The deadline to do this is June 8.

  • Again, this year, Holy Trinity will be joining Abiding Savior Lutheran Church to put together a Vacation Bible School program (Abiding Savior will be hosting).  Classes for children between 3 years of age and 5th grade are being provided June 9 – 13, from 9:00-11:30 a.m. We are looking for helpers and children to participate.  For more information, you can reach out to Kate Roehrs (864-356-2907)

  • Saturday Servants is fast approaching.  A complete list of needed food items is printed in your June newsletter and Sunday’s bulletin.  Donations can be placed in the room off the narthex.

In Christ,

Pastor Fischer
