LUTHERAN MEN IN MISSION
The Lutheran Men in Mission will hold their November meeting on November 16th instead of the normal 4th Monday of the month. Why you might ask? The LMM have funds in their account, there are people at risk of hunger in Anderson County, and there is a donation deadline of November 18th. At this meeting, there will be an audience participation component — packing NICE bags for Meals on Wheels of Anderson. Each bag will contain soup, raisins, fruit, juice and nutrition bar. See the graphic for an explanation of the NICE (Nutrition In Case of Emergency) program.
There will be a meal provided as usual. Our quest speaker will be Tommy Keaton, the Duke Power Safety Coordinator and the Chairman of the Anderson County Fire Commission.
Come out and join us at 6:00 PM on November 16th in the Fellowship Hall for a meal, fellowship and doing something out of the ordinary for residents of Anderson County. No special equipment, steel toed shoes or hard hats are needed to pack these bags – just willing hands. We apologize for the late change of plans but we wanted to take advantage of being involved in this ministry outreach.
