SUMMARY:Operation Inasmuch
DESCRIPTION:Operation Inasmuch\nFor many years Holy Trinity Lutheran Church has participated in Operation Inasmuch\, where we do one-day service projects in the community. These outreach projects are based on Matthew 25:14-46\, where the king says\, “Inasmuch as you have done this to one of the least of these\, you have done it to me.” With COVID-19 concerns around us\, the Service Committee has thought of creative and safe ways for our congregation to participate in projects for this year.\n\nOn Saturday\, April 17\, we will be sponsoring several scaled-down projects that we should be able to do safely. \nThey include: \n1) Providing casseroles for Calvary Children’s Home. All items should list the main ingredients on the dish as well as instructions for cooking it. Casseroles should be placed in the Fellowship Hall freezer.\n\n2) Providing home-made cookies for our local Police Departments and Fire Departments. All cookies should be placed in small Ziplock bags\, labeled and placed in the room off the narthex\, in the box provided.\n\n3) Participate in a congregational litter pick up on some of our local roads. The locations will be determined at a later date based on the number of volunteers\, as well as more details.\n\nA sign-up sheet for each project will be posted on the table in the room off the narthex.
