SUMMARY:6/7 - 6/8 The SC Women of the ELCA Annual Convention
DESCRIPTION:The SC Women of the ELCA Annual Convention is June 7-8 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Lexington\, SC. The theme is “Grace in Community.” If you are interested in attending\, delegates can register as a First-Time Guest\, or a Young Woman Guest\, or a Delegate or a Visitor. We would love to have a good representation from Holy Trinity. Please see Beth Fischer or Roz Eckardt for more information.\n\nThe Convention Project is “Freedom Bags for Light House.” We are making these bags for women/girls who have been rescued from human trafficking. The Freedom Bag needs to be a small/medium backpack with no logos (bags with zippers are the best). Each bag should include\none each of the following items: clothing — medium size\, athletic pants\, solid colored T-shirt (no\nlogos)\, a pair of socks\, toiletries\, shampoo\, toothbrush\, toothpaste\, body wash\, body pouf\, towel\,\ndeodorant (no roll-ons)\, hair brush and/or comb\, refillable water bottle\, bible\, and a pack of gum.\nThere will be a box for items collected in the room off the Narthex for WELCA Convention.\n\nWe are also collecting gift cards (Walmart\, Target\, MasterCard\, or Visa) made payable to SC WELCA. You can do a completed bag or bring donated items and place them in the WELCA chest in the Office Conference Room. If you are donating gift cards or money\, please give to one of the Circle leaders. We will be collecting items until Sunday\, June 2.
